Spinach Banana Smoothie
As the temperatures hit their highs, we often need to find creative ways to cool off. One of the best ways to stay cool is by hydrating! What better way than to consume a tasty, nutritious vegetable/fruit based smoothie. It will help us stay satiated and keep us refreshed. Spinach is a versatile leafy green and happens to mesh well when blended into smoothies.
2 cups fresh baby spinach
1 large apple, cored and chopped
1 large ripe banana
1/2 c crushed ice
1/2 c coconut or plain water (optional: cold pressed apple juice for additional sweetness)
Slice of fresh ginger
Blend all together until smooth and creamy.
