Strawberry Banana Popsicles
As we kick-off the summer season and warmer temperatures, here is a strawberry banana fruit popsicle recipe using Yummy Spoonfuls pouches. When your kids need to hydrate, this is a great way to cool them down and fill them up with vitamins. This popsicle recipe contains fiber, healthy fat and antioxidants not to mention utilize seasonal fruits of the summer. Check it out!
2 Pouches of Yummy Spoonfuls Stage 2 Apple Strawberry Banana flavor
1 Tablespoon fresh lemon juice
2 Tablespoons *Greek* vanilla yogurt or Siggi’s 4% variety
1 Tablespoon milk
1 Tablespoon honey *For an antioxidant kick, try Raw honey or Manduka honey
¾ cup mashed ripe banana
2 Tablespoons milk
1 Tablespoon lemon juice
1 Tablespoon honey
Combine all of the above ingredients above and blend with a whisk. For best results, place first layer on the popsicle mold let it freeze (needs to be a little hard/frozen) then add the second layer so that you get the effect of two colors. Insert sticks into the popsicle molds and top with banana layer.
Combine all of the above ingredients in a blender and puree until smooth. Pour the banana layer on top of the strawberry layer. Freeze completely.
